Twinning with Ashton Keynes

Grandchamp-des-Fontaines has been twinned with the village of Ashton Keynes since May 30, 1992. Ashton Keynes is located in the south west of England in Wiltshire.

 
Grandchamp-des-Fontaines and Ashton Keynes decided to create a twinning for a few reasons:
-Encouraging an understanding and a respect between the inhabitants of both villages
-Enabling organisations of adults and the young to communicate and organize exchanges
-Developing cultural and social relations.
 
A few exchanges have already taken place in several fields: geographical discovery, language learning, sports, music, holidays, teenager camps…

The Thames, the famous river that runs through London, has its source in Ashton Keynes.
 
Ashton Keynes is located in the Cotswolds, in the western England.
